Looking for a sign? Well here it is, here’s your sign telling you to quit torturing yourself by following accounts that are making you feel like you’re less than enough. It’s time to stop investing in their content and re-invest in yourself. •
Your ex who posts pictures because they know it bothers you? Unfollow them. The “friend” you follow who’s posts make you question your worth? Unfollow them. The swimsuit account that body shames? U n f o l l o w it.. heck report that account bc EVERY body is a swimsuit body.

But you get my point. Why do we continue to expose ourselves to things that we know damn well aren’t good for our mental health?

Maybe it’s the case that you don’t want someone to be offended if they notice that you unfollowed them, well thankfully the tech gods have so graciously blessed us with the option to mute people. I am such a huge advocate for the mute option. It’s made such a difference in my life because I think the saying is true “out of sight, out of mind” and you don’t have to ever worry about it coming back to you.

All of this to say that this is your sign. Take care of yourself and stop exposing yourself to content that is toxic to your mental well being. And as always, progress not perfection.
